Field Hockey Falls 2-1 at Richmond

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision at Richmond on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 2-3 on the season while the Spiders improve to 2-3.

Caroline Suko scored the lone goal for the Hoyas, finding the back of the cage late in the third quarter courtesy of an assist from Lily Saal.

Ella Fahey and Alex Duff split halves between the pipes. Fahey collected a pair of saves in the opening half while Duff had three in the final 30 minutes of action.

Richmond jumped on the board first, scoring in the 11th minute with a goal from Lainey Nichols. The Hoyas evened things up at the 43:33 mark with Suko's goal, but the host Spiders responded just 65 seconds later by converting a penalty corner for the game-winning goal from Clara Larripa.
