WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team fell to the Clemson Tigers, 3-2 (23-25, 25-22, 22-15, 21-25, 15-7), on Thursday evening in Clemson, South Carolina. With the loss, GU slides to 6-6 on the season while the Tigers improve to 10-0.

"We fought so hard tonight. I know the girls poured everything they had onto the floor tonight. We came up short. Our first five-set loss. It was a long day for the Hoyas, but we are a resilient group and will bounce back from this. Everyone is eager to get a chance to finish this weekend out the way we know we can."

Hoya Highlights

• Dionna Mitchell and Samantha Soderlund led the Hoya offense with 13 kills apiece. Maria Filippova followed closely with 10 kills of her own.
• Juleigh Urbina notched a team-high three service aces.
• Berkeley Ploder fueled the Hoya defense with four blocks, Kamryn Lee-Caracci tallied three and Filippova had two. 
• Urbina recorded a team-best 28 assists while Natalie Nguyen chipped in 21.
• Jade Smith added a squad-best 15 digs.
