FAIRFAX, Va. - The Georgetown University men's soccer team had a big second half to down the No. 25 George Mason University Patriots 5-2 on Tuesday evening at the George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 5-2-2 on the season, while the Patriots drop to 3-3-1 for the year.
Head Coach Brian Wiese
- "I was really happy with the team tonight. I thought we started the game well, and their goalkeeper made a couple really good saves to keep it at one, and then, to their credit, they scored two really good goals to go up at halftime. Our response in the second half, even though it took a while to get the equalizer, was a very professional mentality. We kept applying pressure without panicking, and once we got the first goal, the gates opened up. It was really good to see the guys come to a team that's having a great season, a really talented group, go down on the road and find a way to come back and win, which is a testament to the older guys on the team."
