WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team returned to its winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Lock Haven in Towson, Maryland on Sunday. The Hoyas even their season record to 2-2 while the Bald Eagles fall to 0-4.
Sydney Yodh led the Hoyas with a goal and an assist while
Riley Fitzgerald,
Katherine Malloy and
Lily Saal each had goals as well.
Anna Gill was also credited with an assist.
Ella Fahey and
Alex Duff split time between the pipes. Fahey picked up the win (1-1) with a scoreless opening half while Duff collected three saves to close out the second half of action.
Georgetown jumped on the board first, scoring in the fourth minute behind Fitzgerald's goal. Yodh added another first half goal at the 18:50 mark before Malloy and Saal tallied second half goals. Lock Haven scored its lone goal with just under 10 minutes to play.
