WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball's
KJ Lewis was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The award comes after the Hoyas fell to the visiting St. John's University Red Storm on New Year's Eve. The honors mark the Blue & Gray's fifth recognition from the league and Lewis' fourth nod to the honor roll this season.
KJ LEWIS (JUNIOR / GUARD / 6-4 / 210 / EL PASO, TEXAS) - BIG EAST HONOR ROLL
- In the only game for the Hoyas last week, KJ Lewis led all scorers with a career-best 27 points on 44.4% (8-18) shooting from the floor to go along with a perfect 10-for-10 performance from the free throw line.
- He also grabbed a trio of rebounds while recording a game-best three steals. He managed one block and one assist while committing just one turnover in the contest.
- Lewis ranks 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring with 15.2 ppg while recording 2.2 spg to rank second in the league.
- This is Lewis' fourth accolade from the league this season, previously being named to the Honor Roll on November 10 and 17 as well as December 29.
- It is the fifth recognition for the Blue & Gray this season as Julius Halaifonua was named to the honor roll on December 29.
