Hoyas Defeat Bucknell, 21-14

WASHINGTON –  The Georgetown University football team defeated the Bucknell Bison, 21-14 on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field. With the win in Washington, D.C., the Hoyas move to 1-4 and 1-2 in league action while the Bison slip to 1-5 and 0-3 in the Patriot League.

ON THE RECORD

"Great team win. We were far from perfect, but our guys put together a four-quarter game. I'm extremely excited to see Wedner Cadet return from multiple injuries, and I'm grateful to our athletic training and strength staffs for getting him ready to play. It was incredible to see him come back and record two key interceptions. Offensively, we were able to move the ball both through the air and on the ground. I'm very encouraged by the effort our guys put in throughout the week. We're excited to review the film, see what we can learn, and prepare for our trip to Colgate next week." - Head Coach Rob Sgarlata
