WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team heads to Virginia Beach to participate in the Evie Odom Invitational, hosted by Old Dominion University. The tournament was originally scheduled for three days but has since been shortened to two days because of inclement weather expected in the area. The 14-team field will compete on the par-70, 5,800-yard course at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

- The tournament begins on Friday, October 9, with 36 holes scheduled for an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start while the remaining 18 are set for Saturday, October 10.

- Because of inclement weather the Princeton Invitational was called following the completion of the second round of action on the morning of September 26. The Georgetown University women's golf team finished eighth at 52-over 620 (312-308) following 36 holes. The 12-team field competed on the par-71, 6,086-yard course at the Springdale Golf Club.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- At the Princeton Invitational, Sunny Wang was the top Hoya performer as the sophomore tied for 17th at 8-over 150 (73-77). Over 36 holes, she tallied a pair of birdies and 24 pars.
- In her last outing, Mimi Burton tied for 44th at 16-over 158 (76-82) following a pair of rounds. The Hoya managed one birdie to go along with 20 pars.
- Playing third in the Hoya lineup will be Carol Yan. She tied for 67th at 24-over 166 (84-82) in New Jersey. The Hoya frosh managed two birdies and 13 pars.
- Competing in the fourth spot will be Catherine Qiu. At Princeton the junior carded a 19-over 161 (84-77) for 55th place. Following two rounds of action, she managed one birdie and 19 pars.
- In her first Hoya outing at Springdale Golf Club, Mahreen Bhatia tied for 27th at 13-over 155 (79-76). Through two rounds, the freshman managed one birdie and 23 pars.
- Gabriella Eifrig will compete as an individual this weekend. At Princeton, she finished 20-over 162 (84-78) to tie for 58th place. Through 36 holes, the junior recorded a squad-best three birdies to go along with 14 pars.
HOYAS X EVIE ODOM INVITATIONAL
- This is the first time the Hoyas have played in the Evie Odom Invitational and the first tournament for the Blue & Gray hosted by Old Dominion University.
- The Evie Odom Invitational marks the first time Georgetown will play at the Princess Anne Country Club.
