WASHINGTON – Facing a national field at the Nuttycombe Invitational, the No. 30 Georgetown University men's cross country team captured a seventh-place finish on Friday afternoon at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wisconsin. The Hoya women's squad added a 31st-place finish in a competitive 6K Championship field.
"That was a great day for the men. I would say the best team cross country race we've run in over ten years. We beat some really big-time programs, and this sets us up well for Big East.
Joseph O'Brien and
Birhanu Harriman continue to do an incredible job of leading us.
Maxwell Friedrich ran one of the most impressive races I've ever seen a true freshman run. I am very excited about what this team can achieve these next six weeks." -Head Men's Cross Country Coach
