Hoyas Host DePaul on Senior Day

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will close out regular season play as the squad hosts the DePaul University Blue Demons in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena on Sunday afternoon. The opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Monika Moore and Martin Bahar calling the action.

  • Georgetown (13-15, 6-13 BIG EAST) is coming off of a tough 84-52 loss at No. 1/1 UConn on Thursday evening in Hartford, Connecticut.
  • Sophomore Summer Davis led the Hoyas with 12 points, while classmate Khadee Hession added 11 as the duo combined for five triples on the night.
  • Sophomore Destiny Agubata pulled down a squad-best 10 rebounds to go along with nine points in the game.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 32.0% (16-50) from the field, but allowed 44.9% (31-69) shooting by UConn.
  • The Hoyas were outrebounded by the Huskies, 38-37, and GU forced 10 UConn turnovers on six steals.

  • Junior Khia Miller leads the way for the Hoyas this season with 9.7 ppg.
  • Agubata is averaging 8.8 ppg apiece to rank among the scoring leaders, while leading the way on the glass with 5.0 rpg.
  • Sunday's game will decide seeding as the Hoyas could be the eighth or ninth seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament.
About the Blue Demons
  • DePaul (7-23, 4-15 BIG EAST) is coming off of a 71-64 loss to Butler at home on Wednesday evening.
  • Michelle Ojo led DePaul with 13 points, while adding five rebounds and two assists.
  • Meg Newman followed with 12 points as four Blue Demons scored in double figures.
  • Kate Novik is leading the team with 12.1 ppg as well as pulling down a team-best 6.3 rpg.
  • Sunday's result will decide BIG EAST Tournament seeding for the Blue Demons as they are tied with Xavier in the standings.

  • Georgetown is 6-30 all-time against DePaul and 4-13 at home. 
  • Earlier this season, Georgetown fell 80-77 in Chicago as graduate student Laila Jewett led the way with 17 points including an 8-8 performance from the line as well as a trio of triples.
  • Scott added 11 points, and Agubata led the Blue & Gray on the glass with seven rebounds in the contest.
  • The teams only met once last season with GU falling 80-76 at McDonough Arena.
