Hoya Highlights
How it Happened
- The Red Storm put up four runs in the top of the first, as the Hoyas were faced with an uphill battle.
- The Blue & Gray responded in the bottom of the inning after Turner reached on the fielder's choice before Campos knocked one out of the park for the two-run shot to make it 4-2.
- In the bottom of the second, Brooke Rebhan reached on an error followed by a single from Johnson to put two runners on.
- Park sent a ball to center field allowing both Rebhan and Johnson to cross the plate to knot the contest at four.
- Turner kept it going with a two-out double to left, allowing Park to score to give GU the 5-4 lead.
- From that point on, the Hoya defense stood tall and did not allow another Red Storm run despite runners on as the Blue & Gray held on for the 5-4 victory.
Of Note
- Campos home run was the 26th of her career placing her third on GU's all-time list and just four away from breaking the record.
