WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball team lost another close one, 4-3, to the Towson University Tigers in a midweek matchup on Tuesday afternoon in Towson, Maryland. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 9-11 on the season, while the Tigers improve to 18-11 overall.

How it Happened
- Towson opened the scoring in the bottom of the first as the Tigers put runners on, and managed to get two across the plate.
- The Hoyas would answer in the top of the second when Park smashed a double to right field allowing all three runners to come home to put GU on top 3-2.
- Towson tied it up in the next inning with a single to second, and TU managed the winning run on a homer in the bottom of the fifth making the final 4-3.

- Georgetown is no stranger to close games with Tuesday marking GU's third one-run decision in a row.

- The Hoyas will return to BIG EAST Conference action this weekend with a three-game series at Villanova.
- Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Villanova Softball Complex.
