Georgetown Falls to Revolutionaries

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the George Washington Revolutionaries 9-7 on Wednesday at Capital One Park. With the loss in Tysons, Virginia the Hoyas slip to 22-19 on the season and 4-5 in conference play while the Revolutionaries move to 17-22 and 9-9 in league action.

ON THE RECORD

"I thought Charlie Hendrix gave us an unbelievable start to go almost six innings. And unfortunately, we just didn't do enough to support him after that. We had the lead, and you know, we just weren't able to expand on it. Too many guys left on base tonight, especially in the back part of the game, where we had a chance to break the game open and come back. And unfortunately, we weren't able to get the hit when we needed to and we didn't defend enough late in the ballgame, and they did. So, tip your cap to them, and, you know, short memory, let's get ready for a good UConn team coming up." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
