WASHINGTON – Nineteen student-athletes from the Georgetown University women's openweight rowing team have been honored with the 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award, as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
The national honor recognizes collegiate rowers who demonstrate a strong commitment to success in the classroom and on the water. To qualify, student-athletes must be in at least their second year of eligibility, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester, and compete in an NCAA-eligible boat in at least 75% of the team's spring races or at their conference championship.
The national recognition puts a capstone on an exceptional semester in the classroom for the Hoyas. As a program, the openweight women posted a stellar 3.73 team grade point average (GPA) for the Spring 2026 semester, highlighted by seven student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.
