WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision on the road at Temple in the BIG EAST opener on Friday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Hoyas fall to 3-4 on the year and 0-1 in league play while the Owls improve to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the BIG EAST.
Katherine Malloy scored the lone goal for the Hoyas. She scored the first goal of the game, finding the back of the cage just 5:55 into the contest.
In goal,
Alex Duff (2-4) collected seven saves in the loss.
Rozlyn Maciejewski scored both goals for Temple in the victory.
