WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team fell 3-1 at Towson on Friday afternoon. The Hoyas drop to 1-2 on the year while the Tigers improve to 1-2.
Katherine Malloy scored the lone goal for the Hoyas courtesy of an assist from
Kate McManaman.
In goal,
Alex Duff collected four saves in the loss.
Georgetown took the initial lead on Malloy's goal in the 15th minute before Towson evened things up at the 22:55 mark.
The Tigers added another goal with 89 seconds remaining in the first half and added an insurance goal in the fourth.
Ava McConnell scored two goals for Towson in the win while Anouk Westerink added the other. Riley Redding had three saves in between the pipes.
