Coach Liu comments on Lancaster: 'Ashley was able to play only half of the season last year due to injuries. Despite those injuries, she did a great job, particularly at the beginning of the 2004 season before the injury took its toll. She improved on hitting and concentrated on passing consistently. Although Ashley has battled injuries throughout the past two years, she had knee surgery this summer and has worked hard to get back into playing condition. As one of our tri-captains, she is anxious and ready to step up with major contributions in her last season as a Hoya, and I look forward to working with her and believe her leadership will add a lot to the program this fall.'
