POSITION: Cooper Athletics Leadership Program Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Cooper Athletics Leadership Program is accepting applicants for a part time assistant position (20 hours per week) for a nine-month appointment. The ideal candidate is an individual who is passionate about developing themselves and others, who cares about creating an inclusive environment, and who is ready to make a difference!
We are seeking a self-driven and accountable individual to assist with various aspects of the Cooper Athletics Leadership Program, and responsibilities include planning and executing assigned programs, in addition to managing day-to-day office responsibilities (phone, mail, copies, bills, filing, etc). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while keeping organized and maintaining high standards in all work. Needs to be able to work as part of a team and independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree; strong writing skills; the ability to multitask while balancing multiple deadlines; effective communication skills; having a positive attitude, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, responsibility, passion, and work ethic are all necessary to succeed as part of our team; Being a former student-athlete is a plus but not required; Ability to initiate and implement new projects; Strong organizational skills; Attention to detail; Have the time and availability to make a commitment to this unpaid position; An interest and/or desire to work in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports; Knowledge of student affairs, sport psychology, or leadership development is a plus but not required; Prior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus but not required. This is an unpaid position and can be used toward graduate degree credit.
COMMITMENT:
20 hours per week; must be available at least three evenings per week and have flexibility during some weekends.
