The Cooper Athletics Leadership Program is a unique interdisciplinary, academically-grounded approach to the study and practice of leadership dynamics in an intercollegiate athletics environment.
Â
The program, funded as a part of a $50 million gift from Georgetown parents Peter and Sue Cooper, will use an academic leadership framework and intercollegiate athletics participation as a means towards the higher education end of developing young people and integrates Athletics into the broad educational mission of the university.
Â
"The Cooper Athletics Leadership Program provides extraordinary opportunities for students engaged in intercollegiate athletics, preparing our young people for success both on and off the field. This groundbreaking program gives them the tools they need to compete with integrity during their time on the Hilltop and for the rest of their lives."
