Study Hall
Our Study Hall program provides an efficient and comfortable learning environment for ALL student-athletes at Georgetown University. The Study Hall facility serves as an afterhours extension of the Office of Academic Support for Athletics, where student-athletes have the opportunity for quiet study and meetings with graduate assistants.  Study Hall is located in the Thompson Athletic Center Board of Directors Academic and Leadership Center.  The Center has Wi-Fi, as well as break-out rooms with dry erase boards.  Study Hall hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 6:30-9:00pm.  All student-athletes must check in and out with the study hall director to be considered in attendance.

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) provides students with academic strategies and individualized support needed for academic success and inclusion within the Georgetown community.

Disability Support Services
Resources for students with disabilities are provided by the Academic Resource Center.  Students should work directly with their assigned Academic Resource Center case manager each semester to receive and implement their accommodations. Accommodations are not retroactive; students must make arrangements to meet with their Academic Resource Center case manager and professors at the start of each semester to discuss implementation of accommodations.

Class Attendance
Class attendance is mandatory for all Georgetown students.  If a student-athlete must miss class due to participation in any Varsity contest, the student-athlete should notify professors in writing at the beginning of the semester of known, unavoidable class conflicts (religious observances, university-sponsored athletic travel, etc.). This must be done prior to the end of the add/drop period, to discuss whether the absence can be reasonably accommodated. Student-athletes are responsible for completing any class work missed during absences including homework, assignments, projects, term papers and/or tests.

Varsity Excuse Form Procedure
Varsity Team Travel Letters are delivered to each student-athletes' professors in Google Doc format.  Student-Athletes must discuss their letter and travel commitments with each of their professors during the add/drop period at the beginning of each semester and contact their Athletic Academic Advisor if there are concerns about the missed class time.
