Prior to Georgetown: Was a four-year starter at Venice High School, serving as a team captain his senior year ... After earning all-area honors as a junior, was named the Herald Tribune Player of the Year as a senior after batting .480 with a 0.80 ERA ... Helped lead Venice to state championships in 2013 and 2015, including a No. 3 national ranking in 2015, as well as state runner-up finishes in 2014 and 2016 ... In the classroom, was a four-time AP Scholar recipient and was a member of the National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Science Honors Society, Ro Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta and the Future Business Leaders of America.
