Prior to Georgetown:Ricciardi played four years of varsity baseball at Worcester Academy, serving as a team captain as both a junior and senior … Ricciardi was drafted in the 39th round (1,175th overall) by the Seattle Mariners in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft … He was an all-conference selection as a junior … He helped lead Worcester Academy to the Central New England Prep School finals in 2012 and 2013 as well as a championship in 2015 … Off the field, Ricciardi played varsity ice hockey as a freshman and was a three-year honor roll student in the classroom … His grandfather, John, played for the Boston Red Sox and his father, J.P., was the former general manager of the Toronto Blue Jays and currently works in the front office of the New York Mets.
