Prior to Georgetown: Garza spent his sophomore year at San Jacinto College … At San Jacinto, Garza played in 38 games, batting .303 with five doubles, 13 RBI and 17 runs scored … He graduated from San Jacinto with an associate degree in behavioral sciences … Garza spent his freshman year at Texas Christian University (TCU) where he appeared in four games, batting .200 (1-for-5) in 2014 … At Ronald Reagan High School, Garza was a three-time all-state selection as well as a three-time academic all-state selection … He was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude … Garza’s older brother, Mike Garza, played baseball for Georgetown from 2011-12 and holds the GU season record for hits in a season (82) and ranks sixth in career batting average (.349).
