Luke Burtnett

Luke Burtnett joined the sports medicine staff in the summer of 2015. He works with the baseball and squash teams.

Burnett completed his undergraduate degree in athletic training at Messiah College in 2013. He received his master's degree in sports medicine from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 where he served as the graduate assistant athletic trainer for baseball.
 
Luke holds his athletic training licensure from the District of Columbia. He is passionate about overhead athletes. He has earned the Graston Technique Specialist credential and is also certified in cupping, kinesiology taping and the Functional Movement Screen.  Luke is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Prior to completing his athletic training degree, Luke earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from Susquehanna University in 2008.
 
Burtnett is from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
