Prior to Georgetown:

Pickelman attended Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas.
The offensive lineman was a starter during his junior and senior seasons and was named captain as senior.
While at Highland Park, Pickelman was named 7-6A First-Time All-District (2023), Texas 6A Academic All-State (2023) and Cornerstone Scholar Athlete (2023, 2024).
Pickelman helped his team win three 7-6A District Championships (2021, 2022, 2023), two Bi-Disrtict Championships (2022, 2023), a Division 1-6A Area Championship (2023) and become Division I Region II Finalists (2023).
In addition to football, Pickelman was a two time captain of the powerlifting team and a member of the track and field team.
As a member of the track and field team, Pickelman won two 7-6A District Championships and was named Junior Field MVP in 2023.
