Snyder joined the Hoyas after spending the last two years as an outside linebacker and defensive end graduate assistant at Wake Forest University.
In 2023, the GU defense ranked first in the league in interceptions (10), touchdowns (35) and allowed the least amount of offensive yards (3,565). Snyder helped coach two members of the defense line to earn a spot on the All-Patriot League Team, including a first team honor for Mateen Ibiroga.

Prior to coaching the Demon Deacons, Snyder spent the 2020 campaign as a player development assistant at his alma mater, Rutgers.Â
The Pennsylvania native played for the Rutgers University football team from 2011-14. The former Big Ten All-Academic team member totaled 229 career tackles in his four years as a Scarlet Knight, making 25 starts at inside, weak-side and strong-side linebacker. Before getting into coaching, Snyder played in the NFL from 2015-17, spending time on five different teams' practice squads, earning call-ups to the active roster of the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.Â
Snyder was a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society while at Rutgers and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in economics in 2015. He also earned a master's in liberal arts studies from Wake Forest in 2022.Â
