Spencer Emerson joined the Georgetown coaching staff in October 2020 and will help Offensive Coordinator Rob Spence with the team’s offense.
Emerson comes to Georgetown after a second stint coaching at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he served as the wide receivers’ coach and director of football operations. He previously served as the program’s cornerbacks’ coach during the 2016 season.
Prior to Bates, Emerson spent two years as the head coach and offensive coordinator at Poland Regional High School in Poland, Maine. The Knights set statewide Class D records for both passing yards and passing efficiency. In 2017, Emerson spent a season as the defensive coordinator at Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Maine.
Emerson graduated from the University of Maine in 2016 where he spent three years as a student assistant working with film & operations. He played quarterback at Becker College his freshman season before transferring to Maine.
