While at Fernandina Beach High School, played on both offensive and defensive lines at the varsity level.
Named to both the All-District and All-Conference teams.
Helped lead Fernandina Beach to a 7-4 record and a state playoff berth as a senior.
Along with football, he competed in track & field in the discus, shotput and javelin.
