Prior to Georgetown: Was a three-year starter for the Timber Creek High School football team, serving as a team captain his senior year for head coach Jim Buckridge ... Named to the 2015 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 8A All-State Team ... Helped lead Timber Creek to Metro Conference championships in 2015 and 2016 and a district championship in 2015 ... Rushed for 1,269 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior ... Was also a two-year captain of the wrestling team, leading Timber Creek to three Metro Conference championships, two district championships and a fourth-place finish at the 2016 FHSAA state wrestling tournament ... In the classroom, was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club ... Cousin, Rodger Saffold, is an offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams.
