Prior to Georgetown: Attended Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts. He helped lead his team to a 2020 and 2022 Independent School League (ISL) Championship title... In his senior year, he was named captain and earned All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic First-Team honors... During his time at Milton, Holtschlag had a 60% completion rate, 2,227 yards passing, 20 passing touchdowns, 33 carries for 233 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns... Holtschlag also played lacrosse and started his sophomore, junior and senior seasons... His father Michael Holtshlag (football) and his mother Nacy Holtshlag (softball) were student-athletes at Harvard while his uncle David Holtshlag played football at Yale.
