Ben Reisz joined the Hoya sports medicine staff in the summer of 2021 as the Head Men's Basketball Athletic Trainer.
Reisz received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from James Madison University in 2006. During his time with the Dukes, he worked with the 2005 NCAA Division I-AA Championship football team as well as the women's lacrosse and baseball teams.
Prior to coming to the Hilltop, Reisz worked as an assistant athletic trainer with the NHL’s Washington Capitals from 2007-17. He then went on to work with the University of Maryland football team in 2019. Reisz worked as an assistant trainer with the MLS DC United Soccer Club where he spent two seasons with the club before his arrival at Georgetown. He has also worked with the US Men's National Team during camps based around World Cup qualifying matches.
Reisz currently holds certifications as a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, Level II Fascial Stretch Therapist, dry needling and Blood Flow Restriction. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and was awarded a Resolution from the Senate for his work at University of Maryland.
Ben is a native of Baltimore and currently resides in Baltimore City.
