Chris Fisher

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant
Chris Fisher joined the Georgetown University men’s lacrosse coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in September of 2017. He came to the Hilltop after spending two years as an assistant coach at Wesley College.

In charge of Georgetown’s faceoff units, Fisher helped the Hoyas to back-to-back BIG EAST Championships in 2018 and 2019.

In the 2019, Fisher guided freshman James Reilly to one of the most prolific seasons at the ‘X’ in school history. Reilly set the program record for faceoff attempts with 419 and was just one win shy of the school record in faceoff victories with 206. During his first season in the Nation’s Capital in 2018, Fisher helped Peter Tagliaferri post the sixth most wins in a single season with 318.

With the Wolverines, Fisher served as the defensive coordinator and developed the team’s strength and conditioning program. While working towards his master’s degree in sport leadership, he also oversaw Wesley’s student-athlete academic progress.

No stranger to the BIG EAST, Fisher was a key contributor of the St. John’s midfield from 2012-15. He ended his career with the Red Storm with 66 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers while tallying two goals and three assists for five career points as a long stick midfielder. Fisher was named BIG EAST All-Academic as a junior and senior and graduated summa cum laude from St. John’s with a degree in sports management.
