Justin Ward is in his third season on the Georgetown coaching staff after joining the Hoyas for the 2014-15 season. He joined the Blue & Gray as an offensive assistant following a highly decorated collegiate and professional playing career. At Georgetown, Ward will take over offensive coordinator duties in 2017 and will be responsible for developing the Hoyas attackmen, offensive personnel and extra man units. He will assist the coaching staff with scouting reports and be responsible for film breakdown. Ward will also help the Hoyas coaching staff with camps and clinics. In 2016, Ward was instrumental in the development of rookie attackman Daniel Bucaro to a team-leading 31 points (18G, 13A) en route to being named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and earning All-BIG EAST second team honors. In Ward's first season on the Hilltop he helped senior attackman Bo Stafford and Reilly O'Connor earn All-BIG EAST honors, as the offense improved by nearly three goals per game. He helped guide the development of freshman Stephen Quinzi, who started all 16 games and finished third on the team with 20 goals. Ward made his coaching debut on the Hilltop after a decorated career as a student-athlete with the Greyhounds. He was a two-time USILA All-America selection, 2014 First Team All-Patriot League selection and the 2014 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, after leading his squad to a 15-2 record. Under Head Coach Charlie Toomey, Ward started all 19 games as a sophomore to help Loyola to a 2012 National Championship. The Greyhounds posted a winning percentage of over .800 during his four-year career in Baltimore. Ward holds the program's career assists record (120), the single-season assist record (53) and is sixth in school history in points (176). Following his collegiate career, Ward spent his rookie season playing with Major League Lacrosse's (MLL) Charlotte Hounds. He led the Hounds in points with 12 goals and 21 assists and was the MLL Rookie of the Week on June 9. Ward earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola in business administration with a concentration in finance in 2014. He excelled in the classroom, earning 2014 USILA Academic All-America honors in addition to being a member of the Patriot League All-Academic Team (2014) and the ECAC All-Academic Team (2013).
