2019: BIG EAST Champions … Played in two games as a senior, seeing action against Furman (3/5) and NJIT (4/20).

2018: BIG EAST Champions … Played in four games on the season … Saw action against High Point (2/13), Mount St. Mary’s (2/27), Marist (3/6) and NJIT (4/21) … Collected one ground ball against Marist and tallied one ground ball to go with one caused turnover against NJIT … Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

2017: Saw action in 12 games for the Hoyas, playing primarily with the man-down defensive unit.

2016: Played in two games as a freshman … Saw action against No. 9 Duke (3/19) and St. John’s (4/30) … Collected one ground ball against St. John’s.

Prior to Georgetown: A five-year letterwinner in lacrosse at Shawnee Mission East, before a prep year at Avon Old Farms …  Also a four-year letterwinner in swimming at Bishop Miege, while earning another letter in wrestling at Avon Old Farm … Two-time team captain of both lacrosse and swimming … A two-time All-America selection and 2013 Under Armour All-American …  A four-time first team all-state selection … Helped high school to three state championships, while helping Avon Old Farm to a New England Founders League Championship in 2015 … Coached by Kevin Kelley and Chris Kliewer at Shawnee Mission East and Skip Flanagan at Avon Old Farms … Played club for Titanium Elite … A four-time state qualifier in swimming at Bishop Miege, where he was coached by Dennis Mueller.

Personal: Son of Clancy and Jennifer Merrill … Has one older brother, Clancy Jr., who played football at Pittsburg State and one older sister, Madison, who played lacrosse at Colorado College … Cousin, Kevin, plays lacrosse at Mercyhurst; cousin, Rachel, plays basketball at Vermont and cousin, Jimmy, plays basketball at Siena.
