2017: Played in all 30 matches and 120 sets on the season … Led the Hoyas with 475 digs and averaged 3.96 digs per set … Collected double-digit digs in every match except for four … Hauled in a season-high 28 digs in the season finale against No. 13 Creighton (11/18) … Posted seven other matches with at least 20 digs … Had 26 digs against Buffalo (9/9), 25 against both American (8/26) and Xavier (9/30), 23 at Butler (10/29), 21 against Howard (8/25) in the season opener and 20 at Rice (9/16) and against Providence (11/17) … Tallied 105 assists and 34 service aces … Recorded four aces against Xavier (9/30) … Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
 
2016: Played in all 31 matches and 114 sets, again anchoring the team’s defense … Became just the 11th player in program history with 1,000 career digs (1,009) … Collected 102 assists and 29 service aces on the season, tying her career-high with eight assists against FAU (9/2) … Finished with 465 total digs (4.08 digs per set), including a season-high 25 digs against St. John’s (11/5) … Posted double-figure digs in 26 matches, including eight with at least 20 … Had a career best five service aces against Seton Hall (9/27) … Put together five attacks in the 3-1 victory over Providence (10/7) … Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Stetson/USF Invitational (9/3) … Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

Prior to Georgetown: Ranked among PrepVolleyball.com's Senior Aces top 250 and labeled a Defensive Dandy, played four years of varsity volleyball and lacrosse at Forest Park High School, serving as a team captain for both squads as a senior ... Led the Forest Park volleyball team to two district championships as well as one conference championship ... Following her senior season, was named the Conference 4A Player of the Year ... Earned first team all-district all four years as well as first team all-region honors three times and was selected first team all-state as a junior ... Holds the Virginia state record with 1,913 career digs ... Participated in the USA Volleyball High Performance A1/A2 programs from 2009-13, winning a silver medal at the 2013 USAV High Performance Championships in the International Youth Division ... Concluded her club volleyball career by winning a gold medal at the 2015 USAV Girls' Junior National Championships in the 18 National Division ... On the lacrosse field, Higareda scored 155 goals, collected 172 ground balls and 120 draw controls ...
