Maria Auth joined the Georgetown University women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in September, 2023.
Auth comes to the Hilltop from Boston University where she was the offensive coordinator during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Prior to her two seasons coaching at BU, Auth had a stellar five-year playing career at Penn State. Auth finished her career with 226 points, which was seventh all-time in program history, and additionally finishing sixth in career goals (160) and 11th in career assists (66).
The Maryland native led the Nittany Lions in goals (34) and points (46) in 2021 and was named to both the All-Big Ten Second Team and IWLCA All-Region West/Midwest Second Team. As a junior in 2019, she garnered All-Big Ten First Team honors after leading the team in points (46) and produced 11 multi-point efforts.
Additionally, she gained experience coaching at Finish Line Lacrosse as well as NEMS Lacrosse, Inc.
Auth earned her B.S. in biobehavioral health from Penn State in 2020 and completed her Master's in clinical rehabilitation & mental health counseling in 2022.
