Jane Hays joined the Georgetown volleyball staff in April 2023 and has been instrumental in the program’s rise, helping the Hoyas achieve their highest Big East finish since 2018 and securing wins over multiple RPI Top-75 opponents. As the program’s recruiting coordinator, she led the effort to sign Georgetown’s highest-ranked class in school history, with the 2027 class earning a No. 45 national ranking.
A specialist in defensive systems, serve receive, and pin development, Hays provides advanced technical training to the Hoyas’ backcourt and attacking units. Under her guidance, Georgetown’s libero, Karis Park ranked among the Big East’s top five in digs. She also contributes to practice design, scouting, team operations, academic support, admissions coordination, and community and digital engagement.
Before Georgetown, Hays spent four seasons at Louisiana Tech, serving as Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. She produced the top-ranked recruiting class in program history, coached the team’s first All-Conference performer since 2017, and helped LA Tech rank among Conference USA’s defensive leaders. She also oversaw travel, equipment, camps, academic initiatives, and social media while helping the program earn three consecutive AVCA Team Academic Awards.
Hays previously coached at Panola College, contributing to two NJCAA National Tournament appearances, a No. 1 national ranking, and the development of multiple All-Americans. She began her career at East Texas Baptist University, where she coached pin hitters and defensive specialists and helped recruit two of the program’s strongest classes.
A native of Hereford, Texas, Jane was a three-sport high school athlete and a standout collegiate volleyball player at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU). At ETBU, she was a four-time All-American Southwest Conference East Division selection, a three-year team captain, and a nominee for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year award. Jane remains the only player in ETBU volleyball history to rank in the top 10 all-time in kills, digs, and aces.
