Keyton Kinley was named an assistant coach with the Georgetown University volleyball team for the 2022 season following a standout collegiate playing career at Oklahoma.
"Keyton is going to help us step our game up in the BIG EAST,” Hoyas Head Coach David Heller said. “She brings in experience from the Big 12 and has a great volleyball IQ that will impact the team immediately. Her amazing accolades give her credibility right away and allow her to connect with current student-athletes and future recruits. She is high energy and empowering. We look to have her help improve our passing and back court defense. She is a great addition to the Hilltop and we are really looking forward to having her in the gym.”
A three-time captain while at Oklahoma, Kinley was a two-time Big 12 Libero of the Year and was named All-Big 12 from 2018-21. She was also tabbed an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and AVCA All-Southwest Region First Team in 2018.
Kinley graduated third all-time in career digs for the Sooners, was just the second player in school history to amass 500 digs in a season and was the first Oklahoma player to collect 500 digs in back-to-back campaigns. Her 25 digs in a three-set victory against West Virginia in 2018 tied the program record.
Off the court, Kinley was a SAIL/SAAC member and served on the diversity and inclusion subcommittee as well as a member of the Athletes of Color group and the chair of Athletes United.
