BOSTON (AP) (Feb. 16, 2000) -- Nok Duany led Georgetown with 13 points, but it wasn't enough as No. 19 Boston College defeated the Hoyas, 72-49 on Feb. 16 in Boston.

Alissa Murphy added 14 points and Brianne Stepherson 10 for Boston College, which has won all 12 home games this season.
Hoyas' guard Katie Smrcka-Duffy, the Big East's leading scorer, missed her first 12 shots and finished with just five points on 2-for-16 shooting. She entered averaging 18.4 points per game.
The Eagles struggled offensively in the game's opening 5 1/2 minutes before using a 15-2 run over a 6:07 stretch to take control.
BC, which led 32-17 at halftime, broke it open with a 19-2 run late in the game, pushing to its largest lead, 68-38, on Stepherson's basket with 3:24 to play.
The Hoyas never had their deficit below 10 points the entire second half.
