The Georgetown Women?s Tennis team improved its record to 2-3 by shutting out Towson by a score of 7-0 on Saturday, October 20 in the Baltimore Washington Challenge in Towson, Maryland. The Hoyas took every singles match and won the doubles point to take the match 7-0.

To begin the match, the teams squared off in doubles action. The #1 Hoya tandem of Jordan Botjer (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) and Chelsea Kammerer (Deerfield, Ill./ (Michigan)) opened the doubles competition with an 8-6 win over the Tiger team of Emily Weichert and Lindsay Brown. The #2 match featured Hoyas Lydia Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Torrey Pines) and Liora Gelblum (Cupertina, Calif./Monta Vista) in a match against Stacey Pignatelli and Abby Sharp. The Hoyas prevailed by a score of 8-5. The other doubles match saw the #3 Hoya team of Trina Snow (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) and Stephanie Sutton (Arlington, Texas/(Sam Houston State)) defeat the Tiger team of Katie Long and Sarah Dumansky by an 8-4 count.
