Washington D.C. ? Dan Gargan (Philadelphia, PA/Chestnut Hill Academy) scored his first goal of the game with just two seconds left in regulation to help the Hoyas to a 2-1 victory over UPENN. This brings the Hoyas to a 7-8-1 overall record and a 4-4 record in the BIG EAST.

UPENN opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Stephen Kroculick scored in the upper left corner of the GU goal.

Georgetown's Truls Engebretson (Oslo, Norway/Berg Videregaaende) tied the game in the 33rd minute after receiving a pass from Kaiser Chowdhry (Columbia, MD/McDonogh). Then in the 89th minute, a throw-in bounced around in the box before Gargan shot the ball to win the game off an assist from Nate Port (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake).

Hoya goalie Tim Hogan (Richmond, VA/Freeman) tallied two saves in the win. Next, the Hoyas face a BIG EAST game when they host Seton Hall on November 3.
