Washington, DC. - The Georgetown Hoyas (3-4, 2-1) topped the #11/17 Scarlet Knights of Rutgers (2-2-1, 2-1) 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at North Kehoe Field. By controlling the ball and setting the tempo of the game, Georgetown was able to establish a number of quality scoring opportunities throughout the match.
The only goal of the contest was scored at 23:54 when Kemmons Feldman (Eden Prarie, Minn. / Minnehaha Academy) aggressively challenged a clearing pass by the Rutgers goalkeeper, deflecting the ball into the back of the net for his third goal of the season. The Hoyas missed on a few scoring chances later in the match but worked hard to contain the dangerous Rutgers attack. Tim Hogan (Richmond, Va. / Freeman) made five saves in the game, helping to preserve Georgetown?s second home field shutout this season.
