ANNAPOLIS, Md. - In a steady downpour Tuesday evening, the Navy men?s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Georgetown at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

Navy (5-8-1) fell behind 1-0 at the 22:35 mark when GU forward sophomore Kemmons Feldman (Eden Prarie, Minn./ Minnehaha Academy) scored off a corner kick that was taken by freshman Daniel Grasso (Burr Ridge, Ill./Hinsdale Central). Feldman went high in the box and headed the ball off the near post that bounced in.

GU (7-8-2) struck again in the 37th minute when reserve junior Ellery Bledsoe (Marietta, Ga./ The Westminster School) took a pass from senior Carl Skanderup (Barrington, Ill./ Barrington) and dribbled the ball down near the endline and fired a shot that looked like a cross. However, the ball bent back in the far corner of the net to give the Hoyas a 2-0 lead and Bledsoe his first goal of the season.

The Hoyas finished off the Midshipmen in the second half when freshman Ricky Schramm (East Chester, N.Y./ Fordham Prep) netted his eighth goal of the season. Schramm fired a shot from about 20 yards out past Navy reserve keeper Aric McElheny for the final tally. Sophomores Danny McAnally (Mendham, N.J./ Delbarton) and Ethan Caskey (Dunwoody, Ga./ Dunwoody) were each credited with an assist on the goal.

GU outshot Navy, 21-7, while holding a 3-0 advantage on corner kicks. Hoya senior keeper Tim Hogan (Richmond, Va./ Freeman) made four saves, while Navy starter Frank DiFilippo made two saves followed by Britton Chauvin and McElheny with one and three saves, respectively.
