WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Georgetown University?s men's soccer program earned the #5 seed in the 2004 BIG EAST Championship with a 5-4-1 conference record and will face #4 seed Villanova this Saturday, November 6 in the tournament quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
The 2004 BIG EAST Championship appearance will be the 13th time overall that the Hoyas have secured a spot in the tournament, including 12 of the past 13 seasons. Georgetown played Villanova earlier this year on October 16th in Washington and despite outshooting the Wildcats 26 to 5 GU fell 2-1.
The overall record of Georgetown's men's soccer team is 10-7-1 and the Hoyas close the 2004 regular season against VMI this Tuesday, November 3, at 2 p.m. on North Kehoe Field.
