WASHINGTON, D.C. ?Georgetown University men?s soccer goaltender Andrew Keszler (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) has been named the ECAC Goaltender of the Week for his efforts during the week ending on November 1, 2004. Keszler was also named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week during the week as well.
Keszler posted a 4-0 shutout over #14 Seton Hall in the final regular season BIG EAST game. Keszler had three saves for Georgetown and ended many potential scoring opportunities by intercepting passes. The win clinched a spot in the BIG EAST tournament for the Hoyas. Keszler also posts a .729 save percentage as well as a 1.49 goals against average. Keszler has four shutouts this season and ranks sixth in single season shutouts and ninth in career in the Georgetown records.
Georgetown men?s soccer will be traveling to Villanova in the first round of the BIG EAST tournament. The Hoyas will face the Wildcats on Saturday, November 6 at 1 p.m.
