WASHINGTON, D.C. ? Georgetown Men?s Soccer will open their 2004 season at home against University of Delaware Wednesday, September 1 at 3 p.m. The game will be played on North Kehoe Field.
Georgetown returns a veteran squad, including senior captains Dan Gargan (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) and Kevin Sindelar (Potomac, Md./Churchill). Gargan, a 2003 All-BIG EAST third team selection and team MVP, returns as a force on both offense and defense, and Sindelar will also be a strong impact on both sides of the field. On attack, sophomore Ricky Schramm (East Chester, N.Y./Fordham Prep School) will return as the Hoyas top goal scorer and point leader. Sophomore Jeff Curtin (Oreland, Pa./Germantown Academy), a 2003 All-BIG EAST second team and 2002 BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, and senior Paul Brandley (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) will anchor the defense. The Hoyas are coached by Head Coach Keith Tabatznik.
