WASHINGTON, DC - The Georgetown University volleyball team (5-11, 1-3 BIG EAST) hits the road for a two-game road trip vs. BIG EAST foes this weekend. The Hoyas visit Villanova on Saturday, October 8 for a 2:00 p.m. match before GU visits Rutgers on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Georgetown, who topped Villanova (3-0) and Rutgers (3-1) last year, has dropped four of their last five matches, including two straight matches at home.

The Hoyas rank fourth in the league in service aces with 107 (1.8 sa/g) and freshman Katherine Niesen (Gaines, Fla./Eastside) ranks among the circuit's leaders with 65 total blocks.

Seniors Rachel Nelson (Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis) and Jenny Weed (Salt Lake City, Utah/Utah Valley State Coll.) are the team's top offensive threats with 194 and 179 kills. Junior Annie Connor (Mountain View, Calif./St. Francis) leads the team with a .300 hitting percentage (129 kills).
