WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team's Samantha Soderlund has unanimously been selected to the BIG EAST All-Freshman team, as announced by the conference on Friday morning.

• Soderlund tallied 267 kills this season, which ranked second on the team, averaging an impressive 2.72 kills per set, while also recording 13 service aces.
• Her defensive contributions included 167 digs, with an average of 1.70 digs per set.
• The freshman appeared in 26 matches for Georgetown playing in 98 total sets.
• Hailing from Naples, Florida, Soderlund achieved a season-high 21 kills on October 4, 2024, in the match against Butler. She also recorded a season-best 14 digs on October 31, 2024, in the contest at Butler.
• Soderlund earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors one time this season.
• The freshman notched 31 total blocks on the season, averaging 0.32 blocks per set.
