WASHINGTON, DC - Junior men's golfer Matt Busa (Cleveland, OH/St. Ignatius) finished 12th in the highly competitive Eastern Amateur which was took place July 7-10 at the Elizabeth Manor Golf Links in Portsmouth, VA.

Busa was -10 for the tournament with rounds of 67-74-68-69 - 278. Busa had a stellar end to his sophomore year in 2005 with the Blue and Gray placing second individually in the 2005 BIG EAST Championship and earning All-BIG EAST honors.

The Hoyas return eight golfers for the 2005-06 season and Head Coach Tommy Hunter will be in his 22nd year at the helm of the program. Georgetown opens the season on September 12-13 at the UNC-Greensboro Invitational in Pinehurst, NC.
