WASHINGTON – Georgetown's Carson Erick was named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office in New York on Thursday. The award comes after the freshman's first-place finish at the Wildcat Spring Invitational in Galloway Township, New Jersey. Erick has now earned the first conference award of his collegiate career.

- Erick led the way for the Blue & Gray with a standout performance at the Wildcat Spring Invitational, capturing the first individual title of his collegiate career.
- After opening the tournament with a 73 in the first round and a 74 in the second, the Hingham, Massachusetts native surged back with a 69 in the third and final round to secure the victory at 3-over par.
- Erick led the 72-player field in par 4-scoring (4.04 avg, +1) and was third-best in par 5 scoring (4.67 avg, -4) en route to the victory.
- The Hoyas earned runner-up in the event.
- This is Erick's first BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honor.
