Washington, DC - The Georgetown University men's soccer team was recognized nationally as they vaulted into the Soccer America's Top 25 poll, it was released today on the magazine's web site.

The Hoyas, after splitting a pair of games this weekend at the Maryland/adidas Classic against ranked opponents, are currently ranked 21st. Georgetown knocked off No. 15 Virginia Commonwealth, 3-1 on Friday, before falling to No. 5 Santa Clara, 4-0 on Sunday. For their efforts this weekend, junior Tim Convey and seniors Jeff Curtin and Ben Jefferson-Dow were named to the all-tournament team.

Georgetown, 3-1-0 on the season, begin BIG EAST Conference play on Friday, when they travel to Chicago, IL to face one of the newest members, DePaul. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. (EST).
